Lates are themed, spanning issues as far apart as sex, alcohol...
Dating can be hard when you are a geek or nerd, especially when you would rather stay at home and binge watch Dr.
But it can hard to meet someone in this kind of setting, especially if you are shy.
The dating sites plastered all over the news and radio, such as Eharmony and Match.com, don't cater to us nerds and geeks, and it might be hard to fall in love with someone who refuses to even go, forget cosplay, with you at the next anime convention, or who doesn't want to sit and have a marathon of your favorite sci-fi show, or have an intellectual conversation about climate change. For those of us willing to try online dating (which is probably all of us), there is hope.
Although the interest areas in science and geekery are very broad, I started the group because a) I felt it's still way better than the generic singles groups on here as at least members have similar interests to begin with and b) it's a great way to find people to go with to the amazing science and geek events London has to offer.
Please do suggest events, all members are able to schedule events.
Separately, there are also some sites that are not available to add for free.
Members interested in access to all sites in the network can upgrade to ‘Network Wide Access’ for .95/month.
If you like it and stick around for more than 2 meetups, then Full Membership costs only £15 for a whole year.
Our feedback is that even just as a listings page, this is more than worth the money!
London Geek Chic organises trips to sciencey events to help single people meet other single people with shared interests, while enjoying London's extraordinary science exhibitions, museums, talks, stargazing and other events.
