Who are your Asian role models, the people who inspire you?
She was a landowner's daughter, one of the few in her village to be educated and the only woman who had her husband (my great-grandfather) marry .
During wartime she protected the family from marauding soldiers.
( ok that sounded bad, I didn't mean try, I meant I dated all three types ) So yeah, guess that's my question , just so you guys feel like there's a huge difference?
Mine is my great-grandmother, a woman I only know through family lore.
The fact that it'll be on my arm makes it a little harder to be very meticulous about too.
My parents are for the most part, generally more understanding than most Asian parents, but as a very expressive person I've had a couple slip ups with them from time to time that's caused big drama in our relationship.
I want 3 arm bands done, one for each family member in my household. My dad called me the other day to check up on me and I told my dad jokingly that I got one done, but he didn't take me seriously because he knew I was testing him.
I've mentioned getting tattooed from time to time ever since I turned 18, so this idea isn't strange to both my parents.
American feminism is for the most part White Feminism.
And most White Feminists, , would tell you they really just want the same rights and privileges and advantages as their White brothers.
In my personal experience, some of the most anti-Asian racists are white women in power who claim to be feminists. Many of these women really, really hate Asian women.
